Mechanical Design Engineer
In carrying out this role you will assume overall responsibility for the design and detailing of chassis components for the Company's vehicle design programmes using Catia V5 design software.

As well as generating designs and engineering drawings to support manufacture, you will be expected to provide information to support "in-house" prototype manufacture and build. You will also be required to liaise with other members of our engineering team, our purchasing department and technical partners on a regular basis.

Experience & Qualifications
It is anticipated that you will have a minimum of 5 years experience within the automotive industry and hold a relevant Engineering Degree. We would also expect you to have a minimum of 2 years working experience using Catia V5 and be capable in using parametric solid design as well as surface design.

In addition, you should possess an understanding of modern vehicle architecture as well as having a good knowledge of machining, fabrication and casting processes. You will also be a self-motivated individual capable of working under your own initiative as well as having the ability to work as an effective team member, capable of delivering in accordance with challenging
timescales.
