Senior Stress And Materials Development Engineer
We are currently engaged in one of the most challenging and innovative automotive projects of recent times and now have an excellent opportunity for a talented Stress and materials Development Engineer based at our Design and Engineering Centre in Shalford, Surrey.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to co-ordinate stress analysis and materials development activities on composite primary structures. In addition you will be expected to work with the design office team on all areas that require stress analysis support and material specifications to meet the component duty cycle conditions.
Qualifications and experience
It is anticipated that you will be educated to Degree level in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. We would expect you to have demonstrable experience of stress analysis and materials development, as well as a background in:
Supporting vehicle rig tests and development activities.
Liaising with external suppliers and consultants to ensure that engineering, cost and timing targets are met.
Full product life-cycle activities including cost & weight and supplier management.
