Realising the dream with the creation of Gordon Murray Design Limited the story really begins in 1964 with an 18 year old engineering student designing and building his own car and engine to race in the Domestic Series in his native South Africa.
The winter of 1969 saw a move to the UK to pursue racing car design. There followed a 17 year period with the Brabham Formula One team and an 18 year period at McLaren in both Formula One and Road Car Design.
The late Creighton Brown, a much missed friend, who was the co-founder of McLaren Cars, planted the seeds for a new company some 12 years ago with a dream to put together the best design group in the industry.
The current chapter realises that dream with the creation of Gordon Murray Design Limited. A highly talented team brought together to push the boundaries of automotive and engineering design.
