Gordon Murray Design Limited is a new British company operating from Shalford in Surrey.
The new Company aims to be the world leader in automotive design and reverses the current industry trend for sub-contracting by having a complete in-house capability for design, prototyping and development.
The Company will remain compact and focused and will undertake automotive and other engineering programmes in an efficient and innovative way.
A unique and important aspect of this design group is that the team have a huge amount of experience of working together on class-leading projects. Collectively they have over 300 man years working in the automotive industry and in excess of 1100man years of co-working experience resulting in a small, efficient and highly motivated group.
Unusually, these days, the entire team are multi-skilled and in conjunction with this a unique design and prototyping process has been developed to integrate CAD design, 3 dimensional assemblies and full size drawing to a level of efficiency which is unprecedented in the automotive industry.
